Similar to the Character Creation Process in the 2nd Edition Laws of the Night with a few additions.
Step One: Inspiration - Who are you?
-Choose a Name
-Choose your Clan
-Choose A Nature and Demeanor
Step Two: Attributes - What are your basic capabilities?
-Prioritize Attributes (7 primary, 5 secondary and 3 tertiary)
-Choose your traits
Step Three: Advantages - What do you know?
-Choose 3 Disciplines (Can not start with Advanced Disciplines)
-Choose 5 Abilities (Can not start with Abilities Level above three per each ability)
-Choose 1 Specialty (One from a chosen abilities you previously taken)
-Choose 3 Influences (Can not start with Influence above 5 levels per each Influence)
Step Four: Inner Workings - What makes you tick and/or grinds your gears?
-Choose a Beast Trait (or Path Trait if Sabbat) (Taking additional Beast Traits count as two Freebie points, and are counted against the Negative trait maximum.)
-Choose a Derangement (Optional. unless Malkavian or Malkavian Anti. Additional Derangements count as two Freebie points, and are counted against the Negative trait maximum.)
-Choose up to 7 points in Flaws (Optional. Flaws give their point value in Freebie points)
-Choose up to 5 Negative Traits (Optional. Negative Traits are one for one with Freebie points)
Step Five - Purchasing - Spending your points (Optional. Only if you took Flaws, Negative Traits, extra Beast Traits or Derangements.
-Generation - Default 13th (15th for Caitiff and Panders) - Cost - Two Freebies per level lowered. Lowest starting Generation - 8th
-Merits - Cost - Varies per Merit point level
-Traits - Cost - One for one
-Abilities - Cost - Two per one Freebie point
-Influences - Cost - One for one Freebie point
-Disciplines - Cost - Three Freebie points per level
-Willpower - Cost - Three per additional
Step Six: Last Touches - Fill in the details.
-Assign Blood Traits (based on Generation)
-Assign Willpower Traits (based on Generation)
-Calculate Defense - Add Physical and Mental traits then divide by five. (Rounded down)
-Calculate Initiative - Add Mental and Social Traits then divide by three. (Rounded down)
-Calculate Movement - Add Physical and Social Traits then divide by two. (Rounded down)
Step Seven: Spark of Life - Storyteller/Narrator Approval
